PRANKSTER OF BACK PAIN

THE HIDDEN PRANKSTER OF BACK PAIN

We often say that where you feel the pain isn’t where the problem is. In case of low back this is very true, but fortunately we have an opportunity to address it if we pay attention to a couple things:

1. POSTURE

Many times people will experience pain in the low back because they simply “fall out” of alignment.

observation: Hips that fall to far forward.

what this means: That the muscles run up our back are working overtime to keep you upright.

TEST YOURSELF:
Lie on your back (on the ground) and slide your hand in the small of your back. If you can get past your spine….this post is about you.

2. SYMPTOMS

Being able to identify exactly when you hurt or where you are tight can actually help link your pain to how we need to go about fixing your problems. I ask the following questions, for instance:

“Does it hurt when you stand or sit?”
“Do you use the same exercise’s often?”
“How often do you wear heeled shoes, including running shoes?”
“Do you sleep on your back and if so, how many pillows?”

Let’s just face it, at some point everyone suffers some sort of pain.

It is time to get a bit more prepared to deal with it.
